The other day, Eve overheard someone describe her as "rambunctious". She looked up the meaning of the word and read that one meaning was "uncontrollably exuberant". Eve knows that exuberant is good because she knows that the world can be a exciting place and that there is a lot of exploring of new places, people and things just waiting for her. Okay, uncontrollably might not be quite so good because it could mean that she has lots of unfocused energy. What does this mean? It means that Eve, an eighteen month old girl, needs to learn proper doggie etiquette about how to behave in the world (for example, proper leash walking skills are necessary but if you've never walked on a leash before, how are you supposed to know what to do???). Socialization is also on the list of things to do because with socialization comes self confidence. Eve needs a family who has German Shepherd Dog experience. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100%25 tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems. Our adoption process begins with completing an application on-line. A phone screening will soon follow, and lastly a home visit will be conducted by our volunteers.
