He waited for her for two years, living under the house he had known as home. What he didnt know was that his elderly mom had passed away and was never coming back. Eventually he was brought to the Coronado Animal Care Facility. Mick Jagger was released for adoption, but did not thrive at the ACF. He was shy with most people and didnt adjust well to shelter life. The situation become dire and he moved into a foster home. Life turned around for him there and he began to eat well, gain confidence and learn how to once again be a cat living in a loving home. He has several feline role models who have had a positive impact on his life. He has remembered that laps are a very important part of life and is quick to jump up into one when you sit down on the couch. He will stay there for as long as you let him, purring contentedly. Mick Jagger has tested positive for FIV this can be a result of his having been vaccinated with the FIV vaccine or having been infected with the virus. Whichever it is, from all accounts, he is in excellent health and FIV+ cats can and do live ling healthy lives if they are kept indoors, fed well and given lots of TLC. He is a good administrative assistant, setting himself up between his foster mom and foster dad as they work at their computers. When he wants up, he allorubs one or the other and meows quietly for a lift. Mick Jagger can still startle at sudden sounds or abrupt movements, so would do best with a quiet cat savvy person. But, each day he shows more and more confidence and courage and we know that his growth will continue.
