Maintaining a positive attitude in the face of diversity is generally an indicator of great character, and Azula has both positive attitude and great character in spades! This Pharoah Hound/German Shepherd mix arrived at The Barking Lot in July, xxxx, with a group of puppies from Coachella Valley. When she arrived, we noticed that Azula had a bad case of mange and quite a few scratches and cuts all over her body. We immediately started administering medications to Azula, and she is on her way to being cured of what ails her! Azula is about 25 pounds right now (est.). Since she is about 7 months old, we estimate that she will be about 40-50 pounds once she is full grown. Her coat is a beautiful chestnut color, with red undertones, and very short and easy to maintain. Azula is also an incredibly happy puppy even her jaunty walk loudly declares her joyful personality. Azula is constantly smiling and wagging her tail and is always happy to see a new or familiar face. She loves hanging out with people, getting scratched behind the ears, and even calmly resting her head against someones leg. She also loves to play, and will romp around outside with volunteers, playfully nudging hands with her head as if to say, Seriously, play with me! Azula is pretty good on a leash, considering her age, but will probably need some help with housebreaking (and since she is a people pleaser, that should be a breeze!). Azula has already been through the ringer in her short life, and still maintains a sunny disposition and hope that her future forever family is filling out an adoption application for her right now!
