Goldberry thought she had found herself a forever home, but she was sadly returned to us a year and a half later through no fault of her own. Her previous adopters recently got a new puppy that was three times her size, and when it tried to puppy play rambunctiously with Goldberry and backed her into a corner, she growled to let the puppy know she didnt appreciate rough play. Her previous owners took that as aggression, and decided to return her to TBL while the new puppy got to stay. Poor Goldberry was back to square one. Fortunately, she was immediately taken into foster by a volunteer, and she has proven herself to be a rockstar houseguest! Goldberry is housebroken, easy on a leash, knows how to sit on command, quickly learning to sleep through the night in her crate, enjoys raw hide bones, good at riding shotgun in cars, loves to snuggle every chance she gets, and contrary to the reason for her return, she is excellent with all dogs. She does not have a single mean bone in her body, and in fact, she is naturally friendly, outgoing, and very submissive. Goldberry is not shy about asking anyone, even people shes just met, for belly rubs! She rolls right over onto her back and wins everyone over instantly with her sweetness. Goldberry is also a wonderful little adventure buddy and she has been very well-behaved on recent trips to the neighborhood dog park and OB dog beach. She lets other doggies sniff her while she wiggles her cute little stub of a tail, then she reciprocates with interest. Goldberry has a wonderfully unique coat that looks like a painter and a colorist met up, giving her a palette of mocha, gold, silver, and sable. She has the classic poodle hair that will make life much easier on any allergy sufferers. We have no doubt that Goldberry will thrive in a home where she can receive undivided care and affection from her people, and she will return the favor with a lifetime of unconditional love and gentle doggie kisses. And with a trip to the groomers, her coat will be as radiant as her personality. At about 5 and a half years of age and a great size of around 15-pounds, Goldberry will be an easy addition to any home!
