Please Describe Your Pet's Personality Crosby has an incredibly lively personality! He would love nothing more than to just follow you around all day. He has a ton of energy and doesn't like to spend much time napping. He loves to be outdoors - running, playing fetch, hiking, and especially swimming. Crosby is also incredibly smart and seems to have great intuition. He knows plenty of commands - sit, stay, come, heel, down, shake (with either paw), place, jump, and stay at a long distance. He can learn new commands very quickly, usually after 30-40 repetitions. Crosby can also be very skittish around new things, new dogs, and strangers. It seems that this behavior is elevated when he is around me, as I have been told it pretty much goes away when I'm not around. However, he does not do well with other dogs when I take him on walks. When I bring him to a dog boarding ranch when I go out of town, I'm told he does great with other dogs and people. He has bitten new people that come into my house, though he has never drawn blood. It seems to be more fear aggression than outright aggression.
What is your home environment like? I live by myself in a small two bedroom house with a small backyard. Admittedly there isn't much space, and I think Crosby would do great with more space. I also unfortunately have to spend a lot of time at work and traveling. I would love for Crosby to find a home where he can get more attention and activity, perhaps even somewhere with a large yard or ranch where he can be a helpful hand outside - he would love this!

What are your pet's favorite toys, foods, activities? Crosby loves to play with all kinds of squeaky toys, balls, frisbees, rope toys, and bones. He mostly loves to play fetch with his toys.
If possible, please tell us a funny, cute or heartwarming story about your pet. I had been looking for ways to get Crosby more exercise that would specifically wear him out mentally. I came across dog treadmills online, and thought it would be not just great exercise but also something for him to really concentrate on. I ended up getting one, and he's now an expert at running on a treadmill!
For What Reason(s) are you needing to rehome your pet? I am going to be moving and starting a new job that will require 50-75% travel. Because I live alone, it will be extremely difficult for me to take care of Crosby. Please describe what you are looking for in an adoptive family/home for your pet: I am looking for a home where Crosby can get all of the love, attention, and activity he deserves. The more stimulation Crosby can get, the better he will do. He definitely wants to be a work dog, but I haven't been able to provide that for him. He would do amazing in a home where he could get lots of exercise and follow someone around outside a lot. What supplies and accessories will come with your pet? Toys, a big bag of his food, and his dog treadmill if the new owner wants it
